Love your Gimble Head (GHB2) … went to Yosemite over the last three days and conceptually wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s ideal for my Canon 5D Mark 2 with pistol grip coupled with 70-200mm telephoto lens which I use for landscape, sports, portraiture, and nature photography.

Every time I mount my camera using the Arca-Swiss compatible PU100 plate, I feel empowered and know what I’m about to engage in will result with a positive experience because of the free vertical and horizontal movement the unit provides.

Got a lot of looks and inquires along the trails, referred lots of photographers to your website but darn it … couldn’t you have constructed the unit with a lighter material. A pound seemed like a ton when embarking on long hikes up to Half Dome and nearby water falls. :-)

Would I recommend your products … absolutely!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Manny! We’ve experimented extensively with a number of different designs and materials, but so far this is the best cost/strength/ratio. You’ll find it much less of an extra weight to carry once you add a 600mm f/4 to your kit. You’ll be even more happy to know the same rig will handle the load! Check out what some of the other shooters have to say about the quality of build vs. weight vs. price of Induro tripods and heads. Drop us a line at blog@indurogear.com. We’d love to see some of your work. Thanks again.
