Clint the Audio/Photo Guy Reviews the Induro AT214

Clint Buhler has been photographing for over 17 years and admits to being “a fanatic about quality.” For him, a tripod is essential and he’s tried out a good number of them over the years.

When going on a trip, Clint wanted a tripod that was the perfect blend of travel-friendliness and heavy duty sturdiness. He ended up with the Induro AT214 and BHD2 and couldn’t be happier. Watch the video for more of Clint’s thoughts on the AT214, and take a look at some of his images from a variety of different locations and image making conditions. Continue reading

Teva Unfollow Series Features Chris Burkard

Teva has recently launched the #Unfollow campaign, celebrating the release of their new shoe, Tevasphere. The campaign slogan is “for those who choose the unknown, the unexpected, the life less traveled” and to fit that bill, they’re featuring the life and work of adventure photographer Chris Burkard.

“There’s nothing like being able to be waiting for the sunrise,” he says in the video, “one camera, a tripod, and just being able to go wherever my two feet take me.”

Toby Harriman Time-lapse Goodness

If you need a stable tripod for anything, you need it for time-lapse. Taken over hours, days, or even years, the smallest unwanted movement can ruin the shot completely.

Toby Harriman, whom we’ve recommended on Photographers to Follow on Google+, has been working on his time-lapse skills over the last couple of years and has put together an edit of his work for all to see. Using an Induro CT214, Toby shot some beautiful sequences in locations across the USA, with an emphasis on San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Chris Garrison on the Challenges of Environmental Portraiture

When your task is to photograph a man and his boat, sometimes you have to get a little wet. Sometimes your tripod does, too.

In this behind-the-scenes video by Chris Garrison, take a look as he fearlessly places his light stands, power packs, and Induro CT314 and BHL3 ballhead in the water to get the shot he’s after.

If you need even more info, check out Chris’ blog post for a full list of the equipment he used on the shoot.

Our first introduction to the awe-inspiring time lapse work of The Upthink Lab was through their short film ICELANDIA. Amazingly, Doug Urqhart created the film on his wedding anniversary using a kit that fit into one backpack.

Now, the Upthink team shares their newest venture entitled Mountains in Motion: The Canadian Rockies. Watch the video below and check out the abuse they put their tripods through. We love it!

VIDEO: Pictureline Reviews the Induro Hi-Hat

In this quick, but beautiful (and surprisingly soothing) video, Arrius of Pictureline presents three new cine products: the Induro Hi-Hat, Rokinon Cine Lenses, and the Redrock Micro DSLR Ultracage.

He says, “The Induro Hi-Hat system is both affordable and versatile. The extendable legs allows about two inches of maneuverability when you’re trying to get the right height on your hi-hat.”

TheC47 Reviews the Hi-Hat

In this episode of theC47’s Gearbox, Jem Schofield presents a video review of the Induro LFB75 Hi-Hat.

He calls it, “a hi-hat that has been elevated to another level,” which I think we can take to mean both physically and metaphorically. He finds the system to be so versatile, in fact, he recommends it for use in place of a traditional camera system for travel or when it’s not possible to bring all your gear along.

“For me,” he concludes, “this is probably the most versatile hi-hat system out there.”

Watch the video above and check out more episodes of Gearbox on theC47.
